- 1 kilo minced meat(I used Lamb), any kind.
- 125 Grams Tongmaster sausage seasoning mix. (See photo).
- 125 grams cold water.
- 2 eggs (to serve).
- 2 slices bread (to serve).
Step by step how to cook Homemade square sausage, (served here with toast and eggs.):
- Mix water, seasonings and meat well in a bowl. Turn into an oiled loaf tin. Leave for at least four hours, or overnight in the fridge for flavours to develop..
- Cook on medium / hot oven for about 40-50 minutes. Leave in tin to “rest” for about 20 minutes, turn out onto a rack to cool completely. When cool, slice into wafers about 0.25cm, or thicker if you prefer..
- Put 4 pieces aside. Wrap two pieces in baking parchment, and place in a freezer bag. Repeat for the remainder,and Freeze rest until required..
