- 2 Rashers unsmoked bacon.
- 1 onion.
- 1 clove garlic.
- 1/2 tsp chili powder or smoked paprika.
- 1 can chopped tomatoes.
- 1 can beans, any type, or mixed in water.
- 1 tbsp tomato puree.
- 1 tbsp Worcester sauce.
- 1 tbsp dark brown sugar.
- 1 tsp each of dried thyme, rosemary and sage.
- 100 ml wine, red or white.
- 1 cob crusty bread.
- 1/2 head Cabbage, any type.
