- Dough.
- 2 cups flour.
- 50 g butter.
- 1 tsp salt.
- 1 tbsp baking powder.
- 1/2 cup water.
- Sausage filling.
- 1 cup Beef patis.
- 1/2 tsp black pepper.
- 1/2 tsp grounded pepper.
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder.
- 1/2 tsp ginger powder.
- cube Seasoning.
- Wash.
- 1 egg.
- Pastry brush.

I have been making my own Sausage Rolls for years, and I noticed that the original recipe had excluded onions. I always add finely chopped onions to the sausagemeat along with breadcrums.
Step by step how to cook Sausage roll:
- For the dough. Mix flour, butter, salt and baking powder together in a bowl. Gradually add water until it's firm and forms a dough.
- For the filling. Mix the beef satis, peppers, seasoning, garlic and ginger powder together in another bowl and set aside.
- In another separate bowl break the egg and whisk it. Set aside.
- Rub a baking pan with butter and coat with flour..
- On a flat surface add flour and roll out the dough. Cut dough into rectangular sizes, add the beef satis then seal with the whisked egg.
- Repeat process till the dough is finished. Arrange the sausage rolls on the greased pan and coat the top part with the whisked egg using your pastry brush.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes at 170°C.
- Serve your sausage roll with drinks of choice.
