  1. 1 lb ground mild Italian sausage.
  2. 1 large onion, chopped.
  3. 4 slices thick bacon, chopped.
  4. 6 cups water.
  5. 6 chicken bouillon cubes.
  6. 3 cloves garlic, minced.
  7. To taste salt.
  8. To taste ground black pepper.
  9. 3 large russet potatoes, cubed.
  10. 1 bunch curly kale, chopped.
  11. 3/4 cup heavy cream.
  12. 1/4 freshly grated Parmesan, for garnish.
  13. Red pepper flakes (optional).

  1. Over medium-high heat, cook sausage 3-5 minutes. Add in diced onions and finish cooking till meat is cooked through. Drain excess oil, if any.
  2. Cook bacon in a separate pan and crumble into small pieces.
  3. Add in water, bouillons, potatoes, garlic, salt and pepper to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer about 10-15 minutes with lid on..
